The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) 2025 application process is currently ongoing. Candidates can fill and submit their application forms before April 25, 2025, as per the latest announcement from the CLAT Consortium. The online registration for CLAT 2025 started on July 15, 2024, and the exam will take place on December 1, 2024.
The Common Law Admission Test (CLAT) is a national-level entrance exam for admission to undergraduate (UG) and postgraduate (PG) law courses offered by 22 National Law Universities (NLUs) and other participating institutions.
Initially conducted on a rotational basis by the NLUs until 2018, CLAT is now managed by a permanent body called the Consortium of National Law Universities (established in 2023). The consortium’s headquarters is located at NLSIU Bangalore.

For UG Programme | ● Qualifying Exam: To be eligible for UG courses, candidates must pass class 12th level from a recognized board/ university.● Marks: In the qualifying exam, candidates must secure at least 45% aggregate and 40% marks in case of SC/ ST category.● Appearing: Those appearing candidates in class 12th level will also be eligible to apply for the exam.
For PG Programme | ● Qualifying Exam: Applying candidates for PG courses must have passed LLB or 5-year integrated or its equivalent from a recognized institute/ university.● Marks: To be eligible, candidates must score 50% marks and 45% marks in case of reserved category (SC/ST) in the qualifying exam.● Appearing: Candidates appearing in the final year of their qualifying exam in April/ May 2025 will also be eligible to apply.

●Mode of Exam: Through offline (Pen-paper based) mode, the exam will be conducted.

CLAT admit card 2025 will be released in the third week of November 2024. Consortium of NLUs will publish the admit card through online mode only, no other offline method will be provided. Login credentials such as Registration number/application number and date of birth will be required to access the admit card.
Candidates are suggested to keep the hardcopy of it save for the day of examination. It will be mandatory for all applying candidates to carry the original admit card along with the ID proof to the exam center.
It will consist with details such as candidate’s name, date of birth, parent’s name, date, time, venue, address, signature, photograph, etc. After downloading admit card, candidates must go through the details carefully. In case of any discrepancy in it contact the authority immediately for the rectification.
