Overview
National Institute of Fashion Technology Delhi was established in 1986 and is the top Design Institute among the Design Institutes in India. NIFT is the pioneering institute of fashion education in the country and has been in the vanguard of providing professional human resource to the textile and apparel industry. NIFT Delhi offers 7 UG, 3 PG & Diploma courses. The popular courses offered at NIFT Delhi are B.Des., B.F.Tech, M.Des., M.F.M., and M.F.Tech. Admission to any program at NIFT Delhi is based on the NIFT Entrance exams and GD/PI. NIFT Delhi UG and PG NIFT Counselling 2024 Registration is now open for allocation of seats for admission to B.Des, M.Des, B.F.Tech, M.F.Tech and M.F.M at NIFT Delhi. The last date to register online for NIFT Counselling 2024 is now extended to june 15,2024. Candidates can resister online for the same @nift.admissions .nic.in.

Admissions
Admissions are based on the NIFT Entrance Examination, which includes the Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). For B.Des. candidates, a Situation Test follows, while M.Des. candidates undergo a Group Discussion/Personal Interview.
Scholarship
NIFT offers various scholarships and financial assistance to support students from economically weaker backgrounds. The “Means-cum-Merit Financial Assistance Scheme” provides tuition fee waivers ranging from 25% to 100% based on the student’s family income and academic performance. In addition, NIFT collaborates with state and central government schemes, enabling access to external scholarships for SC/ST/OBC/Minority students. Some campuses also offer merit-based awards to top-performing students each semester. The aim is to promote inclusivity and ensure that financial constraints do not hinder talented individuals from pursuing fashion education. Interested students must apply with proper documentation at the beginning of the academic session.
